I’m guessing crossed-out honestly. Not that it matters, it’s just a piece of paper.
I really hated to see greg so overconfident like that as kerry was getting the boot.

Feels like Greg has become a parody of himself. Although that scene where he piped up {Spoiler} "I'll be the #2 to the CEO!" was so unfathomably absurd it was mind boggling.
After his laughter had subsided Karl should have replied "CEO? 3 months ago you were getting bullied by little kids at the carnival and vomiting profusely inside your bear's head clown costume."

I just want to see greg get his comeuppance somehow. We can’t let this disgusting bro get away with it. I think the kids shoulda been a lot meaner to him during the wake as they had been to him before.

Good point w the house, Sharts. I think shows do this a lot which is something flies by and you kind of take it with a couple of light assumptions then of course those are loose ends that can come apart later.
I saw Greg as the loveble stoner goof who stumbled into ridiculous good fortune. Even his "disgusting brother" move was like possibly a partial handjob?
Debatably crossed-out on an unfiled undated unshared piece of paper that refers to interim (?) successor is a pretty good move because it is really wildly open to either interpretation 1) wtf who cares 2) that is the WHOLE THING, who did LOGAN want to run the company - answered

2) that is the WHOLE THING, who did LOGAN want to run the company - answered It was utterly mental how {Spoiler} 10 mins before the board meeting the 3 spoilt shitbaths repaired to the parlor to again childishly bicker about who should be #1. Exactly the same position we were in years ago in season 1, episode 1

{Spoiler}I'm gay It's all spoilers from here on out. I think the problem at least with this episode maybe season a bit is having to explain to the audience "No, see, what the kids are doing is dumb and they're idiots." Because it takes a lot of context. They want to sell some division but not another and the buyer is crazy and they're firing people and doing a Steve Jobs like presentation. In another show if you changed the context and told me all that was good and the kids were super geniuses, I guess I'd believe you? What I mean is, people don't know what a good decision in a multi billion dollar corporation is, so they have to do a lot of spoonfeeding to make sure people can get the plot, which kind of takes the fun out of it. Here's an article taking the corporate structure of Waystar very seriously: www.ft.com/content/a7ce31e0-06f0-4986-9eb9-f4322a40ffc3{Spoiler} I didn't actually read very far

I sort of span out when they go balls-deep in the economic jibber jabber. We're all here for which sibling can be the most despicable arsehole. Garnished with a generous side order of The Disgusting Brothers. Really thought Kringe Ken was going to {Spoiler} totally roger that presentation but he went surprisingly well.

ep 7 Gormless Gregg the bearsuit-headed bumblefuck {Spoiler}firing a Zoom screen of professionals was so deliciously incongruous. Does he even have a job title? A contract to be anything? I remember he got given that fantastic apartment but ffs. Kind of mentally unrealistic how involved he is in operations despite being completely unfit for any professional purpose. {Spoiler}Balcony scene with Shiv and Tom going balls-deep thermonuclear mutually-assured destruktionne was superb. I was 65% sure Tom was going to throw himself over the balcony.
LOL@genius euroknob Matsson. His shirt is full of shit.

Right, would be great to reveal Greg is still waiting on his first paycheck.
Balcony scene is why people say "It's not you, it's me" and then clam up.

I’m enjoying this with every new episode and eagerly awaiting the next. And even though this is the best show on tv right now it probably shoulda ended at season 2.

Ep 8, great episode angle, the media heads shaping the election. The media heads being dipshit lost boy Ken, evil conniving Shiv and idiot child Roman. LOL. Tom and Gregg were in top form. Totally stupid how people keep trusting Gregg with the inside goss. Have we been shown why this {Spoiler} Prez Mencken is so evil? Shiv was absolutely distressed as shit when he won. Or was that just cos her conniving with Matsson had just gone belly up?

I thought it was just a stand-in for Trump/Fox. No actual wild hair or exuberant-sized ties but a republican guy with ties to media, accusations of voter fraud, etc, etc, even if the details didn't exactly match I thought the themes overlapped enough.

Damn, that dude is DISGUSTING. In a good way.
I thought this episode was good. I hadn't really thought about the passage of time in terms of days in the world of the show, so having the funeral was like... oh yeah I guess those other episodes that I watched over weeks were only a couple days. Roman's freakout and breakdown and libtard rage fest was also pretty good. I feel like the game of... something's decisive is going to happen... probably.... then, not... has been a bit played out but maybe that's intentional. Theoretically if the question of "Succession" were actually answered they'd have to consider ending the show or doing a spinoff or something?

hmmm, can I just bet "inconclusive?"
Feel good about those odds...
Greg would be awesome though as a series finale.

Gregg would be the entertaining choice ..... but would it be totally unrealistic and shark jumpy? I think so. The realistic option I'm guessing would be the laughably deluded siblings all ousted and the adults in the room (Gerri Frank Karl) taking over

So who "won" The Game of Cunts? {Spoiler} Matsson the slightly dippy bullshit artist eurocunt Tom CEO. Although he is totally expendable so he aint "won" shit at all. The eurocunt's "pain sponge" Greg: Haha, CEO Tom will pay dumbarse Greg a dogshit salary of 20k and Greg will just eat shit. Although doesnt Greg still have the files on Tom? Shiv: shanked Ken. To stay close to the $$. Too scared Ken would fuck her bottom line. She has to always win or at least never lose. Hugo, Gerri, Karl and Frank slither their way in but swedewank is about to shitcan Karl and Frank Waldorf lol Kendall: laughing stock. always has been but now he really knows it. Roman: also fucked but also knows it Willa: LOL trying to get away from poor Con. With 20 mins to go in the entire series I thought that scene showing Con basically losing her was kind of unnecessary. Colin: that final scene of him trailing Ken in the park. He still has the dirt on him killing someone and always will haha
Liked the setting of Mummy's luxury country villa. Really hit home how futile the dipshit kiddies big biz corporate aspirations are. Just take it easy ffs. Buy a house like that and dick around all day. Enjoy the millions you already have. Morning swim, rum punch, loaf in the sun, leisurely lunch, arvo siesta, fun dinner, bit of music in the evening then beddie byes. No big biz stress, just enjoying the life that's right there on tap for you forever and ever.

As I said, all spoilers here...
Your last paragraph there was kind of what I was thinking. I mean "worst case scenario" for these people is a fantasy life to most? I realize they tried to build the stakes over and over again with no no, but this is EVERYTHING and now it's PERSONAL and now the MONEY IS MORE but like, hard to sustain that level the entire time.
"Without running the company, I'm nothing!" I'm sure some people really do feel that way, but all 3 kids? I don't know, on the rare occasions I've been faced with a solid stretch of free time I do get bored but I have to say if you added unimaginable wealth, I'm pretty sure I'd be fine.
I did think that hand-holding scene was good.
Greg, I really wondered, I think he came out okay and it was probably smart to leave it unspecified. I mean basically getting Tom special coffee and eavesdropping for him for $60k? $120? Maybe salary unadjusted? would suck but for a guy who started off vomiting in a Disney costume, could be worse.
I forgot about the files, good point. I would probably like the show MORE if they just went on with the story and did a good job with other sub-plots. Am I retarded? (Don't answer). My least favorite part of the show "Succession" was the part about Succession. I think the characters, backdrop, interpersonal nonsense could all continue and as long as I'm rewriting the show let's say with MORE HUMOR. There was a little but not enough.
Anyway I feel like with a hugely successful series and a good lose thread hanging there could easily be another season, either with a slightly different title or subtitle or hell S2E01 opens with Tom having a heart attack and it's just more of the same.
There has to be another season, right? No brainer. Shiv preggo, Tom "in charge," Ken ready to do something DRAMATIC! It'll be great.
