It's visually impressive and I liked the story. Incredible production design, but I wasn't terribly emotionally engaged with it.
I wish they'd not had American accents. I don't care who plays things from a racial/cultural perspective, but a more amateurish, Japanese-accented cast might have added something to the feel of the movie. The facial animations were very expressive and so perhaps a bit of vocal reserve would have suited my tastes better.
I don't want to say I was disappointed, but there was a degree of hype around this that wasn't met for me.
