Looking back it appears I mentioned most favorites on the Joe Rogan thread but just for fun, here's things I'm subscribed to
- suicide icon indicates I actually pay for this bullshit, although to be fair some are like a bundle, I spend $12/mo on podcasts
- I was going to leave a little comment for each but WHO THE FUCK can read that much, so here they are, with a couple notes on occasion
Dogpatch - this is some serious record collector nerd shit. It's good, I mean I find almost all of them fascinating whether I actually like the genre on hand or not.
Ska-Boom An American Ska and Reggae Podcast - the post 2nd wave pre 3rd wave era has a special place in my heart and this guy goes incomprehensibly DEEP
The Adam Buxton Podcast - He and his "comedy wife" Joe Cornish did a bunch of stuff on BBC tv and radio including "Adam and Joe Go Tokyo," which came out right as I was moving there, so also special place in my heart I guess, but I listen to every one, even if I don't know the guest.
The Sloppy Boys
The Sloppy Boys Blowout - This is the Patreon of the Sloppy Boys main feed. They pick pretty arbitrary "topics" and rely on the charm of the guests to see them through.
Comedy Bang Bang
CBB Presents - This is pretty annoying. It's part of the subscription tier of Comedy Bang Bang and they sort of throw everything that isn't, regular, or something enough to get its own feed? Full Throttle w/ Bob Ducca is the best one, but you kind of get whatever their "test runs" are.
Hollywood Handbook - "The insiders guide to kicking butt and dropping names in the red-carpet-lined back hallways of this industry we call showbiz."
Threedom
TraegerMethod
Henry & Heidi - yep, Henry Rollins. It's worth a listen! Rarely updated now.
The Always Sunny Podcast
Parks and Recollection
This Strange Life - some ex-pats in Thailand do a pretty loose and not often updated podcast. Couldn't tell you how I heard about this. Not amazing but fun when I miss the ex-pat life and definitely a different spin on it.
BoomTime with Flula Borg - this is so out there I thought it was fake when he did an appearance on CBB, nope, real free podcast, rarely updated now
The Andy Daily Podcast Project
Storytime with Seth Rogan
There are some more, Turned Out a Punk, How Did This Get Made, WTF, but those are cherry-pickers -- not trusted to be sent directly to my phone willy nilly.
