I hope Ladyfingers is obligated to sit through the entire wretched 3 hours to provide grist for our mill.
He must suffer for the art.
SUFFER!

We've been left out of the screenings, I'm pleased to say.
I am a bit interested to see the variable frame rate stuff. I don't like high frame rates for movies but apparently they use it here just for select action scenes which makes for extra intelligibility. A gimmick, but wouldn't mind seeing it in action.

Kermode's video review is hilarious.

Sat through the first one back in the USA. I won't make that mistake again in Canada. There is nothing to do in Canada, but there is time to think through how bad this film is likely to be.

Got invited to a "4D" screening so I went along.
What an exhausting experience. The constant shaking of the seats reminded me every few seconds that some poor wanker had to watch the film and work out "appropriate" chair-jiggles and mist squirts for this '90s-hippie-beadshop-aesthetic monstrosity. My favourite thing about this is how reactionary its politics are. It's all about being a strong father, teaching kids to kill and respecting tradition. All while Cameron rants about testosterone being poison.
I've give Cameron this, when the action gets going, the man can string shots together.

Cameron knows what he is doing, doesn't he? Too bad I just don't care for the stories. He's good at directing things. Whenever he talks, I cringe. Not sure why. He just seems so into himself and his films. It is his career, I suppose, but it's dreadfully boring to listen to.

I actually tried to watch this film. The COVID-19 won, though. I had to go take a long nap. Still dreaming of blue people? No, that was my own fingers so called an ambulance. Just kidding! Still, this film is extremely long, plus it exhausted my good will. Wish I knew what the appeal of this director is. I can't remember the director's name, and am too tired to look above. I might watch the rest of it when I can hold my head up. "Might" being a huge hedge for all members of this esteemed film group.
