Another post-apocalyptic thing. More zombies. Always a sucker for this shit 1st episode, rooting it. Grim and grisly. The heroes poor, poor choice of rainwear was a wee bit annoying though. Soaked to the skin with no vitamins or medicine? You haven't lasted 20 years by gallivanting about the streets like that now have you. PLOT HOLE.

Ep 3 and sounds like half the internet is apoplectically outraged that the 75-minute episode featured about 10 seconds of {Spoiler} men smooching. Big bloody deal.
What an episode. If it were a standalone 75-minute film there'd surely be an Oscar in it for Ron Swanson ffs. That's as good as telly gets, MORANS. If you can't see past a few seconds of blokes kissing and instead throw all the toys out of the bassinet and go scorched earth on the show and the game and your mummy and your daddy and the whole wretched world then, really, you literally only have yourself to blame.

Ep 4. Basically an episode of {Spoiler} The Walking Dead. Even had a group of baddies for the heroic duo to battle, just like TWD. The work involved for the landscape and city post-apocalyptic aerial shots must be nuts. They only last for a few seconds yet look immaculate

Episode 5 was intense as hell
Turns out the different types of infected are due to the level of fungal infection.
Runners are newly infected and are feral, as they try to spread the infection quickly.
Clickers have seen the fungus overtake their brain and as a result the growths around their head have rendered them blind so they use echolocation to find their victims Bloater = the huge bastards with fungus grown all over their body. The fungal growths are rock hard so shooting them doesn't have a huge effect. In the game, you can shoot a clicker's head and it disorientates them momentarily, whilst for a bloater you have to repeatedly attack it with stronger weapons otherwise they will rip you apart
I think after the "host" dies and the zombie runs out of organs to feed on (?) the body "dies" and becomes one of those telepathic vine thingies

Only 1 episode left now. Cracking episode #8 although exactly the same as an old Walking Dead one with the {Spoiler} crackpot christian cannibal cult. I guess for post-apocalyptic storylines, cannibalism is the other, other white meat narrative...
