This is supposedly part II of a Mel Brooks thing he made decades ago. He's involved and so is everyone -- name a comedy person and they're in it -- and man, it just sucks. It just seemed so hokey to me, having a bunch of cool people in it can't save it if the writing sucks. Abraham Lincoln is too tall and his hat is too big so he keeps bumping his head on shit? What the fuck am I watching this for?
They try to "edgy" it up with some stuff on the karma sutra involving material I find it hard to believe Mel Brooks, age 132, is familiar with, but it just seems strained and, well, it still isn't funny.
If you watch an old Mel Brooks movie you know it's old, it sort of... it's not supposed to be something that could come out now, but it still stands on its own and is interesting in context. Making pretty much the same thing now just seems to fall flat. And yet I'm not sure what else you'd do. I don't want to see Mel Brooks make something that is too far off brand either.

33% audience on RT. Mel Brooks, wow, I wonder how an old 70's heyday guy like him is getting on with cancel culture these days... He must open his trap and put his goddamn foot in it about 50 times a day ffs Guess it was on his bucket list to get this out there before he carks it?
