I found this consistently hilarious and my girlfriend was very angry with it. It's not quite as clever as it thinks it is (it's no Kaufman), but the indignities heaped on Joaquin Phoenix are so frequent and extreme that it's kind of gobsmacking. Ending is a bit disappointing and feels a little out of place even considering just how mental everything proceeding it is.
