Upgraded my 1080p Blu-ray to 4K and holy hell, the difference is massive. The original release - despite universal praise - was always ugly:sharpened to the point of ringing, aliasing errors, compression artefacts, ugly oversaturation at the limits. 4K is like film by comparison.
