i figure they're aimed at the same sort of upper middle class kids that buy $50 + lp's and are willing to pay 24 buxx for the 7"!!!

I always thought about getting that but I asked myself the practical question of how often I'd play it. Honestly the problem here is real life has gotten in the way of me having enough time to fart around and properly play records. The last LP I got in the mail 2 days ago, to my great shame, I have still only played 1 side of. That's the kind of pace we're moving at here.

I didn't get serious enough about WRONG to even realize it had gotten all that expensive.

Another one like that, that I'm semi on the fence but about to move onto another side of is Blur Great Escape. I always liked that, if I'm being honest it might get played 1x/yr which makes it kind of hard to justify the price.

Christmas is coming and people insist on exchanging gifts. (I would for sure grinch the whole thing, it's absurd, I can save this for the Too Much Like Johnny thread but I mean look, I got a gifting schedule that is relentless at this point. Nephews, friggin camp leader ffs, it's always gift time there, I have long protested trying to get my mom and dad stuff for their respective mothers and fathers days and birthdays... I feel like this is very American but everyone says "oh we just want to get together" but then also "oh well we have to get them something!")

So fuck gifts, but since we're not doing that, buy me a fancy record I won't play often.

I skated "with" Tony Hawk once. There was a big parking structure in downtown San Diego that was super-fun to skate down and I ended up there one night when Tony Hawk and a few other pros of the day (Billy Ruff is the only one I can remember) and some other mutual friends were there. Tony Hawk left early because he was scared of getting busted by the cops - which did happen to us another time, resulting in like a 20-dollar ticket ("Why did you give him your real name and address?" my friend who had escaped asked me later. Duhhhh) Anyhow, Hawk was a scrawny wussy and his dad was head of the skating association or whatever and a prude so he had to keep his good boy image intact. 

I eat meat but like to eat vegetarian at times just because but I have to admit, why the fuck do you hear so much about it, see so much marketing when:There have been big swings away from eating red meat though...
