Solid improvement on the first installment (which was decent, but not brilliant) and a lot of genuine laughs here. Surprisingly dark at times for a kids' film, but those are usually the ones we all remember. Strikes a nice balance between funny by writers' craft and thinly-veiled post-modern self-awareness and references. Visuals are very impressive.
Weird part was trying to guess who was doing all the voices, and I was sure I knew some of them, but nope. Recognised the cast here and there, but mostly people I'd never heard of.
