I recall a snobby response to this one at the time as though it was misguided fanservice or similar, but while I can see how people might think it's a little redundant and so on, if you want to make something respectful to a vintage IP it really isn't bad at all. The kids are good, the effects are good, it looks great, it's sufficiently spooky and although the tone is a little too reverent, I was entertained.
