The complete series is finally available on Blu-ray, so I got it and I've been watching it. I'd seen a few episodes here and there but I loved the movies so this was an easy buy.
Lots and lots of genuine gut-laughter at the comedy here. It's extremely cute and beautifully made.
170 episodes of the main series plus a few specials and other shorts. The first 40 episodes are upscaled SD since that's how it was shot (sadly) but they look okay. Better than DVD. The rest of the series looks magnificent, even has lossless surround sound.

This is genuinely one of the most relentlessly delightful things ever made.

On the strength of The Vic's enthusiasm for this I am going to give it a red hot go. It's got to be better than the turgid unloveable misery that is season 4 of True Detective...

Reached season 3 and the picture quality has taken a real leap. Really one of the most satisfying purchases I've made. If season 2's "We Wish Ewe You a Merry Christmas" doesn't melt your heart, I doubt anything else will.
