More of my old-TV-on-Blu-ray pile, and it looks good. Nice, natural transfer. I haven't seen a glimpse of this since the '80s but I remember so much of it to the letter. Whereas Knight Rider is pure camp relying on giant doofus Hasselhoff and his banter with the fussy KITT, MacGyver coasts on the sincere, easy charm of Richard Dean Anderson. Extremely pleasant light entertainment, and easily better than The A-Team, Airwolf or Knight Rider.

For some reason I remember hating this show in the 80's (my teen years).
It was on every Sat night, primetime, 8pm for years on end. Now that I think about none of my cronies liked it either. Maybe because the main guy was a bit of a smug know-it-all? Fucked if I can remember why now....

I didn't remember the narration being as intrusive as it was, although investigation reveals it was dialled down and removed after a while.

I can remember Michael Des Barres being on this show, but that's all I can recall. The show title is a verb in the backwater where I live. Fucked if I know how that happened.

I didn't hear it for most of my life, as I lived overseas.
