Took ages to get this because I never pay full price, but then Disney ended physical distribution in Australia and it disappeared off shelves and went to $80+ on the resale market and I resented buying from foreign markets given how extortionate postage has gotten lately. Fucking Disney.
Anyway, it's great! I more or less lost interest in the Marvel films after Endgame, but this is a fantastic entry in the series. It's great how Gunn's style survived the Disney homogenisation process. The story is charming, touching and funny and the production design is an absolute riot of creativity. I love how much thought everything and everyone has clearly been given, and the massive cast of weirdo character actors is a real pleasure for the film fans who recognise them. Unlike the rest of the Marvel films lately, this is clearly the product of care and effort. Good stuff.
