The announcement that this was finally being released on Blu-ray was great until I saw the horrific AI upscaling they'd used, so I decided to grab a copy of the old grey/bootleg Spanish disc that's been around for a few years before it becomes hard to get. It's a very old-school scan, but it's free of denoising or sharpening or other enhancements and looks better than a fair few official '90s catalogue releases I own. The colour, in particular, is free of a the teal-and-orange revisionism that has plagued Cameron's reissues. Highlights are a bit blobby and detail isn't amazing, but there are no jaggies or aliasing or anything like that. It's generally adequate verging on pretty decent. You do have to do some tapping to get rid of the subtitles, but that's basically all that's wrong.
I hadn't watched the film in forever, I think since the theatrical release, and I remember liking it but not thinking it was particularly brilliant or anything. My opinion hasn't changed. It's a fun film that would have actually been much better without Schwarzenegger, but that's who you get. It's a retread of the likeable Kindergarten Cop persona, which is fun although nobody ever reacts to the obvious visual absurdity he presents in an otherwise normal world, which is the whole point of the guy. Cameron's a funny director in that he lacks any semblance of naturalism or artfulness but his films still feel more epic and energetic than almost anyone else's. A shame he didn't make more good ones.

Don't recall ever seeing this. Judging by the pics it's Arnie having a crack at the dapper James Bond spy malarkie?

Saw it kinda recently and it was much better than I remember. James Cameron is technically proficient and sort of running at the top of his game here. I would recommend.
