I recall watching this as a nipper and enjoying it, and this and the sequel were recently remastered (well!) by Studio Canal so I picked them up. Surprised at how well they hold up. Richard Lester's terrible comic impulses are mostly suppressed and tone is perfectly light and breezy, and the visuals are frankly superb. Really good entertainment.
