Mads Mikkelsen plays a retired army captain trying to cultivate a heath in 18th-century Denmark, but brushes up against a psychopathic local noble. Vaguely based on a true story, just peppered with every possible dramatic contrivance. Skirts the edge of trashy expertly. Highly entertaining.
