Starts off promisingly on a mining colony that shows just how horrific working for Weyland Yutani is. Some great characterisation and continuity of the series' worldbuilding in the beginning really gets you behind the young team and their mission. Then it turns into relentless memberberries, with all your favourite scenes and lines repeated in a stupid medley shot in the style of a quicktime-rails videogame with every objective spoken out loud and flashed on a retro CRT to make sure you understand what everyone needs to do.
Infuriatingly disappointing because it has many great elements, especially the character of Andy with a truly knockout performance by David Jonsson, and even that is undermined by some over-obvious writing.

I can barely remember anything about alien covenant and so i’m concerned the same will be true with this one. Probably best to just stick to the first 4.

I'm not a huge Alien fan but I love Aliens. I haven't seen any other movies but those two and i'm wondering are there any other movies in this franchise I should watch?
