Started checking out this one with my SO. Was also recommended by someone at work. There are things to love about this series, but not enough. I'd guess there are about 3-4 funny jokes per episode, the rest is just depression and misery. We basically just see scenes from the main character's horrible life. People hate her because she's fat, her boyfriend is an idiot, her boss sucks, her mom is controlling, and her dad is dying of cancer. So if you want to see someone coping with cancer in the family, only to be sparingly punctuated by a joke at some random interval, than this is the series for you.

Wouldn't mind that blue shirt. For work. I'm such a sartorial fuckup I don't even THINK about buying clothes. Never enters my mind.
No use walking into a clothes shop here on the South East Pitcairns anyway when their "L" size fits like youth fucken medium and "LL" is like a fucken womans L when my bulbous pecs and sculptured lats require man size XL to house the grace that cums in the face of mace. I literally don't own any fucking clothes. Think I have 1 CORRUPTED band shirt, 3 plain white t-shirts (too casual for dolly bird uni) and one fuckhead short-sleeve "business" shirt that I hate cos as soon as I fucking move the cunt comes untucked.
That blue shirt. That's what I need.

Friend of mine here in the states went to Uniqlo in Japan to buy underwear, and found them all way too tight in the crotch area, thus cementing a very long-running stereotype about the Japanese.

If you're like me and didn''t like Shrill, because it was too....well....shrill. The Special on Netflix is the show for you. All the darkness of Shrill, but with more jokes! Also, the dark parts aren't so dark that you feel like you've been punched in the stomach every ten minutes or so.
