Over 20 years since I last saw this on my little black and white TV; the Blu-ray is gorgeous! This is a real gem of a film. I was laughing throughout. Maggie Smith is an absolute standout and Palin's not-entirely-innocent gormlessness is highly endearing. Phoebe Nicholls' spectrum-y naif is another scene-stealer. I didn't expect the cinematography to be as beautiful as it was. Possibly the most British film ever.
