Absolutely loved it. Every second of the film is a pleasure, and the retroactive justice Tarantino exacts on the Manson Family is hilarious and intensely satisfying.

Damnit I need to see this. It's slowly and randomly popping up on my movie channel too.
re Manson, some old journo guest on Rogans podcast laid out the whole Manson as MK Ultra test subject thing. God Damn.

Bah, it's great. It's a love-letter to the magic of old Hollywood and a cinematic revenge against the Mansonites.

I thought it was excellent. I loved how that era was perfectly encapsulated (?) by Margo Robbie's barefoot, dancing, smiling joyful radiance. I was surprised by the twist, it was so satisfying but it also made me sad that it never actually happened. I think Pitt is great in this and deserved his Oscar win.

Is this woman the most primo deadset spunk in all of Hollywood today? And she's an aussie ffs. Those blue hotpants she wore in "Suicide Squad" should be in the goddamn Stiffy Smithsonian by now. Right alongside Ursula Andress's togs from the first Bond film.

I’m interested in the subject matter but I’m in no hurry to see it after the ultra boring Hateful 8.

I have to admit I wasn't into it at first. "Like a wax museum with a pulse" to use a Tarantinoism. Fascinating to watch, but not a lot of the snappy dialogue I was used to from his previous forays.
Then the home invasion happens, and Quentin turns that shit up to 11. SOOOOOO satisfying to watch.
And the casting was excellent. Especially Damian Lewis as Steve McQueen.
I liked how they barely focused on Manson himself. Subtly shrinking him down to a barely noticeable character to take any mystique or power from him.

I have a general antipathy to DiCaprio, but that monologue scene being filmed in the saloon is phenomenal.

It's just one long Tarantino fap to old movie posters. HAHAHAHA I "multi-tasked" through the entire film. Played music, read some reference materials, got up and baked some cornbread, and the film still hadn't ended. Fucking long. 20 minutes of ultra-violence at the end seemed to be QT. The Bruce Lee scene was rubbish. Still, many friends of mine loved the film. Nobody's perfect!
