Hilarious and brutal. Apparently the cast was chosen mostly for their ability to skate, and so their performances are mostly minimal, giving it that raw, verité feeling the '70s was so good at creating. Despite not giving a shit about sport, I enjoy sport films and this is an instant favourite.

Have you seen Goon? It's a more modern hockey comedy with a good dash of brutality and a lot of heart. It's the first movie I saw Sean William Scott in where it didn't feel like he was just doing another Stiffler clone character.
