Wow, 2004, this was a long time ago now.
The use of intensely ghastly 1970's shithits was so well done. "Haha, oh man, THIS fucking song?"
It was rad how "Brick" was seemingly given total free license to just say whatever idiotic shit entered his head for the whole film. I didnt laugh much at it but it must've been a mentally fun role to play.
Many people despise Will Ferrell. I am not one of those people. Ferrell is a silly man who is constantly trying to make people laugh. That is awesome. There is not enough silliness in the world. "He is silly" is the highest compliment I can give someone. Being silly these days requires a total and devout rejection of all things serious. You can't be PC or one of these he/she//they types or even remotely self-aware at all. No ego, no opinions, no politics. Just the pure embrace of idiocy. There are virtually no famous silly people left at all now. They are a dying breed. Everyone is offended by/serious about something or other.
