Bad Boys For Life (2020)
2020, was this the last major motion picture made before China poisoned the world forever? Like a geographical timeline in the sediment, we'll look back at the lack of maskwear and grotesque social distancing infractions and snarl out a sour laugh.
WFT happened to Martin Lawrence? He can't talk at the same speed anymore. Did he have a stroke? Early onset Alzheimers? Both his cheeks look swollen to hell, like he's been bashed in the head with a shovel evenly on both sides. Was his mouth full of marbles and his slow braindead speech was just him doing the acting? Like Brando in The Godfather except here in Bad Boys For Life 2020?
This film is highly rated on RT but I don't think I even smiled once let alone laughed. Maybe I was in a shit mood. Fuck knows Marty and Will Smith had enough chnaces to make me laugh. They spent the entire film pushing their buddy comedy "charisma" shtick nonstop.
ps, in comparison to shovel-smashed punchdrunk Martin, Will Smith hasn't aged a goddamn day in the last 30 years.
