Another great film by Billy Wilder but not as good as Sunset Boulevard or Some Like It Hot or The Apartment. 8/10
I love the speech patterns in this era of hollywood films. I hope my next lover calls me 'baby' like that just so I can slap them across the face and say "don't call me baby."

Perfect encapsulation of The Riddle of Women. They want you to sense what they want but they don't know what they want themselves.
I think it made it perfectly clear that I want to slap someone across the face for calling me baby.

ha, we could argue this one all day. The man doesnt know you secretly wanted them to call you baby all along. Why does he have to know anything? All he has to do is call me baby. I'm not going to ask him to do it. I'm merely going to wait for someone to call me baby, hopefully a boyfriend, and then slap their face for it. |
