Oh. Apparently if you type the title that I named each emoji, an emoji appears! Hence the "help" emoji above. I'll re-title the ones that may cause problems this way.

Please don't be worried about changing anything back if you don't like it, I won't take it personally. It's not my forum and I can't expect everyone to have the same aesthetics as me.

Might take a bit to get used to the giant bung-eye Stevie Wonder letters on the front page.

Making a list of tweaks for when it's clear to go in again, otherwise I'll forget.
1. Change font size of main page 2. Create light coloured lines between threads in forums 3. Organize smileys, replace first lot with modern emojis (unless objection) 4. Create spoiler formatting that results in button? 5. Change quoting format so it doesn't include every previous post, only the last one (? right? it's so annoying) 6. Take out the avatars from the quoted posts (right?)

So the mobile colours look hideous, this lemon yellow and army khaki with white outlines; only the gradient red looks the same. I took screenshots to post them but when I open the screenshots on my computer, it looks exactly like my computer colours, which is confusing. Why would screenshots from my phone opened on my computer look different? They're screenshots, not hex codes.
I use my PC 99% of the time I'm online and the colours are a barely cream with a barely green with a silver-mauve outline. It's very subtle and classy. I hope that's what everyone is seeing.

Starting to think R.Abid's current avatar might make for a very trippy forum backdrop.
Tempting. There are probably a few great option from Mulholland Drive. What do you need, screenshots? I'll take a few and post them later. test

Okay, I think I've removed nesting quotes. I entered code that hides everything but the most recent quote. So, when you hit the quote button, you'll see nested quotes in your reply box (and in the preview), but when you post it, only the last post from the nested quotes will be visible. This is the only fix unfortunately, other than manually removing previous quotes.
It's probably good though for those big arguments where you're following EA's attempts to never be wrong.

Instead of this blue/white background in the threads/posts, I think a very light cream would look much better. Why don't you go have a very light cream in your gruds ffs.
In all seriousness though, I my shitty interns think they have found the button to do this but bear in mind this is a shitty freebie forum and I my birdbrained interns don't know WFT they are doing.Yeah and I'd like my cock be half a size bigger too
In all seriousness though, I my dumb interns cannot currently find this button backstage at the moment. DIYMORANtest 2

If you break up a post to reply to different sections of it, it looks like this in the reply box, after you've highlighted the second quote you want to separate (highlight the section then press the "Quote" button, which wraps it in quotes). The first part is already ready to go. When there is style formatting, it gets more complicated. I think you have to remove it all or breaks up the post incorrectly. That happens with or without the nesting.

Didn't think anything of it. Was obvious in Gilead that even a black man, just by virtue of being a man, is far superior to even a white woman. Of course, the seppos in Vulture etc make a huge deal about it because the US is basically South Africa from 1970 that havent made their form of institutionalised apartheid a legally binding statute yet. Yeah, that's what I was thinking re your first point. Yep re your second point. tooty test break up replies

This is what it looks like in the reply box when someone has gotten fancy adding different styles, fonts etc: You can't just highlight the second section of this post, you have to remove almost all the formatting, too, so that it looks like this: And there is no BBCode here to insert author's name if you do this, according to some proboard articles I found that said you can't change the author of a post. This has nothing to do with the code added that hides nesting, it happens when you try to break up quotes with style formatting. Well, hold on, I copied and pasted some BBcode (I think that's the correct term lol) into the quote, so apparently there is a way to author the quoted posts. It's the normal quote/end quote brackets with author=@"Gordon" added in. It's not much different than at Kland where you wrote in =Username. When it's posted, it ends up a bit off to the centre though.

So nothing has changed, except that now when you quote a regular post, there's no nesting.
I posted all that other stuff for reference.

I added this code to the bottom of the style sheet (Themes -- Advanced Styles & CSS -- Style Sheet)
.posts .post .message, .messages .item .message { font-size: 13px; }
Except I changed it to 16px. That way the home page is back to the size Sprague likes (Themes -- Advanced Styles & CSS -- Visual Editor -- Forum -- Text Styles -- Default Forum Text : medium size), but this setting makes the text within the posts too small. The above code I entered is just for the text within posts.
Of course, if you think it's too big I can make it smaller, or you can.
I'm trying to figure out how to make the text size more uniform. I haven't touched anything yet concerning that, too scared.
On the home page, the board title text is smaller than the information text on the right side. Same with the thread titles vs the "Created By" and "Last Post" columns, or am I seeing things? The latter columns look bigger to me.
And the box called "Forum Information and Statistics" has bigger font sizes, too.
I am not going to touch any of this stuff, it's as it has always been, now that I've changed the font size back to medium for the forum.
It's just weird that the other columns and the statistic box on the front page are noticeably bigger. I've always noticed that but now it's irking me.
There are percentages you can make the default font size for various things, like "Sprague likes this" etc but I can't find anything for the other things.

Thanks for that, top work. Although perhaps refrain from slagging people off when you're posting from the Gordo account It's probably good though for those big arguments where you're following EA's attempts to never be wrong.

Right, sorry. That was me posting as Gordo re EA, who would be the biggest fish this forum has ever caught. I wish I could think of a different more vegan-like metaphor.
In all seriousness, EA posting here would be wonderful. I wish everyone would permanently migrate, but I can understand why people wouldn't, for a variety of reasons.

EA, who would be the biggest fish this forum has ever caught Beg to differ. As I see it the biggest remainign unregistered fishies from around the internet traps are as follows: 1. Manwithtwodicks 2. NoEyeDeer 3. Cyclopath 4. Boozenshmooze

Don't know the first three, Booze would be good.
EA is the best catch though, because if he starts posting here about politics, everyone would follow. And EA never stops posting about politics, the boards would be busy.
I liked it here the way it was, but I'm missing the interaction from the other boards.

I've been saving threads from Kland to the web archive, currently about 10 pages saved of the smoldering wreckage thread. I think this might be internet hoarding but I'm concerned the site will go down and it will all be lost.
I'm going to start doing it with threads here, too, if no one minds.

I'm going to start doing it with threads here, too, if no one minds. This is probably a good idea. We operate entirely at the pleasure of proboards. On a casual whim, at any moment, they could blip this shit into the eternal ether.

I'd also like to make it so you don't have to scroll up every time you want to move back to the forum. Either a "back to Off Topic/Films/Television" or a scroll code that holds the thingy at the top of the page.
Can I do that too? I haven't logged in yet for the spoiler button either.

The back to forum button thing was to complicated for me so I didn't do it. Too much rearranging code, don't feel comfortable.
And plus while I was fiddling, I realized there's a "back to top" option at the top of every post under the settings wheel. It's easier to have a static link that stays on the page as you scroll but whatever, I'm too tired.
I didn't change the spoiler thing either, I'll do it tomorrow or whenever.
Couldn't figure out how to change the colours of the text in certain columns. I couldn't even figure out how to change the current text colour of everything on the main pages (before you go in threads). I thought I did but when I updated the colours nothing happened so oh well.
