Forum Nuts and Bolts, Backdrops, Layout, etc

Woah, these are pretty swish:

I added a back to top button on every page that scrolls with the page, and I asked Tech Support for code to sticky the top part of the forum as you scroll, so you can get back to home page or the separate forum with one click. There's code to do it with the primary navigation bar, but not the one underneath it.

I made a button for spoilers, which required a strange combination of code and a plugin, but maybe not strange because that's how it's done? The instructions seemed to specify one or the other but I could only do it with both.

You can't easily make a separate icon for each forum using proboards unless you use a plugin and host the images elsewhere. I tried it with imgur but doesn't work, apparently you can use google drive and change the url. Not a big deal but considering how user friendly I find the proboards formatting, you'd think they would have made it a simple upload for each forum. It's weird to me that the plugin doesn't allow for this either but maybe that's in conflict with proboards formatting.

There is a plugin that allows every user to choose their own icon for each thread, too, but I'm not sure if it's very user friendly for the poster. Not sure but seems to require uploading image to thread first...I'm going to check it out.

It's pretty easy, actually. It's not like I'm writing actual code, just following instructions and being obsessive. I'm crazy curious about code now though, am going to look into taking a class.

I added a unique favicon for the forum so when people bookmark the site (me lol) the icon that shows is not the "pb" proboards icon but the golden orb from Twin Peaks eeeeeee.




Honestly, I can't bear not to post at my forum, it's like I found a great apartment and was given a budget to decorate exactly however I want. I can import the entire theme if you want lol. *wiggles eyebrows* I'll just keep the forum in case something happens to Kland and this one.

Feel free to import any of the bits you like over to here under the condition you PROMISE not to get too offended and butthurt if I ask you to please change that shit back to how it was
IKNOWRITE? Finally someone gets my addiction to starting freebie proboards forii. Just wait til you get on to the picture backdrops and banners. You will go fullblown radio rental then. Running every single pic in google image search through the backdropper, just to see what it looks like...

The only problem with these freebie forii is getting pricks to sign up to the things


ps weirdly I've never even bothered to look in to altering fonts/font sizes etc. Or the colours too far beyond the stock templates

I figured out how to erase the background around the edges of the icons using the white marker in paint. It's a little painstaking because it would be way easier to do that on a larger image then make it smaller, so might do that over from scratch. I went through a thousand icons to find that one image I like though, so it's worth it.

To be clear, I don't mind at all if you want dancing guy. I'm just saying I can resize other things if you'd prefer something else.

I'll upload the plugin and do your board tomorrow. It should take about an hour, if I have to fiddle around with sizes. What time is good to do this? I'll check back here tomorrow.
