 This film is very goddamn poignant. I couldnt stop watching. Clint is 88. He looks like hunchbacked hammered shit but ffs he's 88. Has any film ever had the main dude that goddamn old before?
70% on RT.
This film must've been dirt cheap to make. No CGI, no shooty shooty. Just Clint tooling around in his ute, the end. |

I’ve heard it’s good. Subject seems interesting. I know a few grandma’s who would be good for that line of work, if anyone is interested..... no? No takers? Ok, I was just joking anyway. But my inbox is always open in case someone wants to tell more jokes with me, and help me “write” more “material” for my “comedy” “act.”

I bought this a little while ago and have yet to get to it. I'm always willing to give an Eastwood film a go. Richard Jewell is on the list too.

I enjoy this film each time I watch it. Gritty enough, but not stupid effects. I still like to watch things shot on location, some stunts, but no CGI. I like cinematography, dialogue , and the stories. High Plains Drifter. Watched it over a hundred times easy. The Outlaw Josey Wales is getting close to a hundred. I shudder to think how many days I have spent watching Clint onscreen. Gran Torino is at about 50 times. I'll get a 100 plus should I live a few more years.

........hahaha......part of the answer chief.........actually the ex tricked Benny into watching the thing.......she knew Benny couldn't say no to a Clinto movie.......got home late from work one night........the ex says that she rented a Clinto movie just for me.........boom........suckered into watching it.......could be part of the reason why she's the ex.......thank fuck for that Wait. A Japanese ex-wife? I had no idea that was the case for you. |

Divorce rate is still 50 percent or so in Canada, plus many widows and widowers. It's almost as though people enjoy weddings more than marriage itself. Or, weirdly, people enjoy divorce and divorce lawyers. I don't know. Cancer, though, is starting to kill a lot of my lifelong friends, which is waking me up to a whole different world. |
