I saw this early this morning, was so confused at first lol.
When I found out it was Cohen/Borat, I nearly weeped. I deeply love him. Check out the speech he made about facebook.
I think probably nothing happened and they just caught a great still photo from the footage.
Though, Trump did make a tweet about it denying anything happened, THEN he erased the tweet - he rarely deletes his tweets so everyone is abuzz about why.

I started watching this last night but unfortunately fell asleep before the Guliana scene. What I saw was funny. It seems like it’s just as good as the last one. Would be curious to know the behind the scenes of how they filmed all that shit during the pandemic. Seems a little ballsy.

Watched the first film on a plane and the little Japanese boy across the aisle was also watching and, when lunch came around, he inexplicably paused his screen right at the scene where Borat and his manager have their naked wresting scene in the bedroom. Thus treating the entire plane to an extended viewing of one of the gnarliest views in aeronautic history. Didnt put him off his lunch.

I watched it today. I don't think it's as good as the first Borat but it's still very good and so needed. Shout out to the father/daughter dance LOL jesus.
I watched to the end of the credits and he dedicated the film to that lovely woman in the synagogue - Judith Dim Evans. She died this year.

You can't make a movie featuring that literally everyone understands is parodying bigotry and then retroactively claim that territory of comedy only for yourself. If Baron-Cohen believes his own bullshit he'd pull his earlier films from circulation.
Likewise Boyle. Boyle made jokes about a real-life brain-damaged child needing to be restrained from fucking his mother. There's no "the times" about this. Either comedy is free to offend for laughs or there's approved material only and comedy is basically dead.

The guy has talent. When he plays the clown, though, it is important to go full bore. Perhaps this one being a bit tamer has something to do with people being more and more uptight. Gotta push the envelope even further now it seems to me. What the fuck do I know? Not much. I did enjoy this film.
