I’ve been a fan of the series since before kindergarten. Used to watch them on VHS with my dad, which is probably why horror movies never scare me.

Part 1: perfect slasher movie.
Part 2: no explanation as to why Jason is the killer now, but still pretty cool and he wears a badass hood. Still perfect.
Part 3: the mask is beginning to slip in terms of quality but at least you have hockey mask, punks and 3D.
Part 4: final chapter but first in sort of a new style for the series
Part 5: still haven’t seen it
Part 6: love this one. Jason becomes the quiet unstoppable super natural killer rather than just a guy with a mask
Part 7: fights the girl with psychic powers
Part 8: notable for new york, and for jason punching a guy’s head off.
Part 9: is this jason goes to hell? I forget
Part 10: sci fi. not his best
Part 11: fights freddy kruger. Lots of oui’d
Part 12: really a “reboot” of the whole series. Not bad though some cringe dialogue.

Features a bland protagonist, the grown-up version of Corey Feldman's character in part 4, and a pretty lame is-he-or-is-he-not-the-killer? conceit.

Yeah I feel like I’ve heard the plot second hand so many times I wonder if I should even bother watching. Plus everyone seems to hate it. Corey Feldman’s character got an incredible makeover as his older self in part 6, but I’m guessing it’s not the same actor from 5.
