Re-watching this because mah wife got a sleek Japanese VPN and can grab the subtitled content from here in Saigon... Still a heavyweight TV GOAT contender and thanks to lots of cambo ditchweed and drinking-related head injuries, I have forgotten when a lot of the stuff in the series happens, so I can still be surprised at points. I think of this as similar to "Succession" in that it is genuinely difficult to pinpoint exactly which character is the biggest fucking arsehole.
Thought it was Tony at the end but that was after I'd gone through Tony's mum (ooer), his shithead fat little spoiled mafia son and daughter, his TERRIBLE fucking sister Janice, his ABSOLUTE SPOILED SHITHEAD of a wife who wants to buy all the bags and shoes and bullshit accroutements of wealth while living in fantasyland that the money isn't generated by killing people, goddamnit tsukebe now I'm getting all riled up again.

I only started watching this last year, and I still have lots of episodes to get through. Anytime I binge on it my cholestoral goes up and I start uncontrollably talking with a nj accent.

One of my favourites, I've seen it twice.
One of the reasons it's so good is because you feel sympathy for even the worst characters, well most of them.
This thread makes me want to watch it again.

Finally watching this. Had the Blu-ray collection for years but it was always another massive thing to tackle.
It's extremely good, and it's miraculous in how uneventful it is while being entirely gripping.
