I don’t see the January 6 insurrection as political persecution, but I agree with you on everything else. If January 6 insurrection occurred with Barrack Obama and it was BLM protestors storming the capitol, Fox “news” pundits would openly be calling for Obama to be hanged. The insurrection is different. There was no insurrection in any meaningful way. There was a riot, but calling it an insurrection is a framing device to criminalise participants in the same thing everyone else gets away with. there was an attempted insurrection, just fat fuck donnie and his dumb shit magat cult followers were to fucking stupid and vain to be effective. |

The intent was to stop the peaceful transfer of power. Why else were the Trump cultists there on that specific day and why was there so much talk about Mike Pence on that day? |

I feel like everyone is dissatisfied and everyone is like how can these 2 people be our 2 choices.
I've heard the phrase "lesser of two evils" my entire life but I feel like now more than ever people don't vote, they anti-vote. You either think Biden is senile and simply can't be in charge of the country of you think Trump is an insane asshole and can't be in charge of the country. I'm in camp #2 but the older I get, am I possibly becoming slightly more conservative? Do I think Chicago's democratic government is doing a good job, of anything? No.
It's just depressing. I should go back to 1) move to Japan ignore America, I'm sure their politics are not great but at least I don't understand them or 2) continue to live in America and focus on records and comedy.
Realistically it's #2 but man, we suck.
