Avoided the barbershop scene. Don't want to spoil it. This shit was the greatest thing ever in the first film. I would watch a whole film of just that ffs. 80 mins of butt-chewing and shit talk
ps what the hell happened to "Arsenio Hall"? Was he blacklisted or some shit? Big talk show host/movie star then *blip* he's gone

Arsenio Hall disappeared for I think over a decade, then won The Apprentice. Frankly, it was embarassing watching him suck up to Trump so much. Then he had another talk show for a bit, guess it was cancelled. I remember watching his first show back in the day and there was a protestor there shouting at him that he doesn't showcase gay people. Hall seemed so frustrated and it's clear now why he was so put out by that, obviously.
I'm definitely going to rewatch Coming to America, then this.

Oh I thought he had come out as gay but I guess not. Just looked it up. Must have confused him with someone else. Either way, back then, he did have gay guests on the show but most of them were in the closet, so my statement holds.

This was total shit.
30 seconds of the barbershop characters and that was the only fun in the whole fucking sorry turgid thing.
I fast-forwarded past about 30 minutes of dance numbers. Fucking MTV bullshit.
Eddie was barely even present in this film. FFS did he even want to make the thing in the first place? No reason for this film to exist. Gave up after 1 hour. Maybe I was expecting too much.
