Had no idea what to expect, the only thing I knew going in is that Carey Mulligan was in it but still I knew within the first 5 minutes where this was going.
It's good but uneven, with quite an unusual soundtrack that I really liked. Mulligan is great. I really liked it though I don't think it met its full potential, which, maybe now that I am thinking about it, is kind of the point but not really because why would the film not meeting it's potential be a good parallel? lol. Anyway, it's dark but more like a dark comedy in the end, it works but not entirely. Falters a bit after the halfway point too, I thought the scene with Molly Shannon was a bit weak. One of the best films I've seen this year though, easily. Felt very cathartic to watch too.
