Whitey is the baddie in this one. Stupid whitey. I hate them! This film is Very 1989. Was there really so much bright pastel and neon clothing in the black community? Nobody wore black. Silly-coloured cotton singlets were certainly very in. Annoyed me how DJ Samuel L .Jackson stacked his records sloping like that. It's hot, motherfucker! That shit is going to get warped to hell! Disappointed there was no mention of FISHBONE. It was 1989, morans! Fishbone was RED HOT then! OMFG it had the Breaking Bad Chicken Pollos baddie as a teenager. It was weird seeing a "community". People hanging around outside in their wee neighbourhood and yakking away. Just wandering the fuck around and chatting with people in their neighbourhood. We don't have to do that anymore. LOL! We have the internet!

I saw this the day it opened and then went and took acid off the west end of Mulholland Dr. with a view of the Pacific Ocean and the homes of many rich folk ~ it was glorious... So maybe my view is tinged but I loved this movie and thought Spike Lee had a good run with Jungle Fever and Malcolm X and whatever...not sure where he lost the plot but that recent Vientam movie of his was roundly trashed by friends here and I could tell by the trailer it was no bueno - and my wife watched that Black Klansman one, so I watched the last 10 minutes...yeah, too bad about SPike..

My favorite Lee joint is mo better blues, which i imagine would be great to watch on acid with all the crazy cinematography.
