I'm guessing as a concept 2xLP this mystified the shit out of critics when it came out. Especially a whole 3 years after Stevie's purported magnum opus "Songs In The Key Of Life" landed in 1976.
I can't think of a record that feels longer. FFS it seems like 2 hours have gone by and you're only just starting side 3.
Due to its flat out weirdness though, I might even prefer it over Talking Book and Songs in the Key and just behind Inner Visions at #1.
