I reckon they somehow fluked the perfect confluence of elements here that resulted in an awesome movie. - corrosively-suave lead actor perfectly suited to monosyllabism.
- monochromatically simple plot.
- less a film, more a comically absurd mentally-unhinged video game shooting gallery come to life. FFS, despite WWIII breaking out in the public sphere the only cop sighted in the whole film was Neo's friendly neighhourhood PC Plod who he exchanges a couple of pleasantries with as they ignore the corpses in the hallway.
Somehow this film hones straight in on the cave man brain bits that've been dormant for millions of years. MiniMe and I were laughing our arses off at Keanu's balletic shooting scenes. Pirouetting around the show, waving his pistol and never fuckign missing UNLESS he was aiming for the uber baddie who he always just misses and the naughty chappie just manages to get away to the next battle stage.

It is absolutely tremendous. A phenomenal action movie that is unapologetic about what it is.
