Can't be entirely sure but I don't think women look at me like this...

People rave about this film. I only have one question: Would the film make any sense had a viewer not seen the first film? I wonder. I have wondered for a long time.

4K80, the scan of a rescued theatrical print, is finally done. Version 1.0 is out and looks great! It's still rough in terms of scratches, grain and so on, but no shithouse CGI additions to be seen. As the community fixes up all the little bits of damage and carefully reduces the noise, gate-weave and so on, it's just going to get better and better.
I recently upgraded 4K77 to 1.4 and 4K83 to 1.4 and the improvements are massive. I generally don't like DNR but the "minimal DNR" used in 4K83 and some of the changes that make the colour more consistent, as well as 5.1 audio, are massive upgrades. I might get the 4K77 with DNR too, since the "pure" release is pretty rough-looking still. There is a 2.0 version of 4K77, and I'm really curious to see what they do. 4K83 is so much better-looking than any official release it's hilarious.

Damn, they really ripped off a lot aspects of Dune to make this movie
