Cannot believe I wanted to watch this either but...I am total OG Star Wars generation ~ still remember going to see the first one with a bud and having the next showing sell out one person ahead of us! Probably saw it three times and my interest with the original series waned although I did see all three. ROTJ came out when I was a senior in HS and had pretty much lost interest in superhero comics and nerdy shit - already a Fantarphics snob, really, so the Darth father reveal or whatever, meh...
But of course everyone loved swaggering Han Solo and I really dig Danny Glover, so I figured I'd give it shot. Han Solo her is bereft of any real charm (needs to play it more stoned) and no one else has any charisma either. Glover is wasted and the silly "woke" subplot about human/robot love or whatever is silly. The evil villain seems to be doing an Alan Rickman impersonation. Just flat all around but looked nice and I guess it was really just meant as 100 minute ad for the ride at Disneyland. (Didn't realize until the end ~ Directed by Opie!)

Watch Danny Glover's Atlanta. I just read it will have two more seasons! Won't use the word genius, but Glover is a very smart talented due who takes risks
Harrison Ford in Frantic directed by Polanski ~ Excellent Hitchcock homage and a truly great cunnilingus scene...
