Bloop bloop bloop. Dragged my fat ass down to the theater to see this latest Zack Snyder offering. Figured if I had an opportunity to see it on the big screen rather than my computer screen that I might as well go for it.
It was... okay.
Acting was pretty good. I like Dave Bautista as an actor but he's no Gary Oldman, either. Some of the characters were a little flat but they did the best they could.
Writing was okay. You need a little humor in a movie like this and it worked.
Special effects were good. Some good gore moments for folks who like that in their zombie flicks.
Couple of plot holes, but nothing you can't forgive. I liked that they never truly explained the Zombie King but there's enough insinuation to give you some idea of his origins.
Good soundtrack, although Snyder is no Tarantino or Gunn when it comes to picking music.
So, decent flick. Glad I only paid matinee price, but it's on Netflix, of course, if you don't feel like going to a theater to see it.

Chris D'elia being digitally replaced by Tig Notaro after being cancelled, by some fairly hefty evidence, is probably the only thing this movie will be remembered for.
