Woah a whole {Spoiler} Cinnabon episode? Some punters will be spewing about that, what with only 3 episodes left to marry BCS up to BB with Walt and Jesse.
First mention of BB in this episode though? "I know a chemistry teacher wh got real real rich" or whatever it was Gene-o said out in the snowy field. The dept store pilfering seemed like a mental load of risk for such a small payoff. The Gene Takovic storyline has had 9 minutes over 7 years ffs. Talk about playing the long game. Handy catchup here

Gene got the two guys off his back who could turn him in, blackmail him or harass him, without killing them or paying an enormous sum of money to disappear again. He solved his immediate problem slippin' Jimmy style, that had to feel good.
The cab driver looked way different to me, was that the same actor?

Holy shit it was a {Spoiler} different guy. The dude years ago in the mall was intimidating but this new guy was just a soft wretch. FFS I wonder if the original guy croaked. Their characters are so different it seems like a massive casting cock-up.

{Spoiler} Apparently, they had to recast due to scheduling changes and conflicts. I didn't realize it watching it, but yeah, the original actor was a bit more menacing. I just hope Kim shows up soon!

There are so many shots of aquariams in BCS, even going back to season 1 that I've always thought it was foreshadowing. Gene's life in Nebraska is so small, like he's in a fish tank. When the cab driver spotted him reading on his break, the way he was pointing at him reminded me of someone tapping on the glass. Well, Gene is no longer in the fish tank and we all know what happens to fish when they are outside of the tank, they die.

Who would've thought that Chuck and Howard were right, and that they were the good guys?

Penultimate episode and {Spoiler} Kim WFT she's gone full suburban drongo woman. Until the conscience took over and now she goin jail
Jesus, Saul has devolved into an absolute psycho. The fuck was he doing robbing that guy with cancer then getting all creepy upstairs with the loitering and pilfering. He seems fucked now. Better call the vacuum guy. In fact that would be a neat idea for the next spinoff. "Better Call The Vacuum Guy". They could get some wild stories out of that

Carol Fucking Burnett. Hope she gets a final Emmy out of this. It is weird how young she still seems. She only seemed about 15 years younger back in the 1970's Maybe maniacal comedy energy has sustained her

{Spoiler} I know it was pure fan service, but I loved the scene with Pinkman and Wexler sharing a smoke.

ep 7. Poor {Spoiler} Howard Hamlin, he was a bit of a Frank Grimes figure in his final couple of episodes. Safe to say Kim and Jimmy's prank went a wee bit too far...
Guessing this is the precursor to either:
Lalo killing Kim just to spite Jimmy
or
all of the above. Finally getting around to it, and holy shit that was a moment. What a show.

Genuinely one of the most terrifying, repellent villains ever.

Loved the ending. Everyone chanting on the bus and his life inside were great.

I finally got around to this and I gotta say, I think it was just too long since I watched Breaking Bad and too long since I watched Better Call Saul Season 5 for that matter. They kept jumping around in time and plots and characters, now he's at a Cinnebon, now Walter White is in the mix, it's a prequel that takes you though to his life post breaking bad... It was good and certainly meticulously stitched together, just made it hard to watch casually and/or late in my case...
Bob Odenkirk rules.

I started watching this show and I like it a lot, probably even as much as I liked Breaking Bad. I'm surprised at how long it's taking to get to the main criminal stuff though. Going in I thought most of the show was going to be about Saul's dealings with drug dealers and the such. Oh well the show is excellent either way and the acting is great.
