I've enjoyed some of Waititi's productions but that "awkward" side-eye-to-the-camera humour is wearing on me.

Not too fussed after 1st ep of this. Big deal.

It gets better ~ but if that many youngins is a problem. First episodes can always be a bit spotty as they have to establish the outline to some degree. Anyhow, I seem to like a lot of Hulu "comedy" shows that are more like deft mixes of comedy and dark/gritty/"minority" life like Atlanta and Ramy. This one also has some dark tragedy mixed in with some good laffs, so I give it two thumbs up!
