This is great! Wright fuses a lot of genres into something that's a little bit corny but also pretty fucking stunning. This seems to be one that's dividing critics, who either love it or think it's a mess, but I think if you appreciate giallo, ghost stories and psychological horror, there's a lot to enjoy here. If you go in expecting one specific type of film you might be disappointed, but if you just go along for the ride, it's one helluva ride. Wright has this ability to turn what could be a soulless tribute to his favourite films into something genuinely completely original, and I think he's done it again.
