I feel like everything here is exhausting. My mother is the nicest Midwestern person you could expect to meet but at the end of a friendly check-in she'll start dropping like "Windmill fans never degrade and erode the environment" or "China is buying all of our farmland."
I'll sometimes do the research on this, but that's not really the point. The point is, what information source is highlighting these items? I feel like it's politically motivated and easy for people to latch onto. "China?!! Our food?!?! Where is the politician who will fight this?"
In the meantime we have ridiculous crime and the Supreme Court has overturned women's right to abortion.

I am probably like my parents in that I've kind of made up my mind and generally am not going to do deep research or attend a protest.
