I didn't expect this to be as good as it was. It's great seeing Gunn back at more adult material, and the gore/gag rate here is bonkers. Just endless creativity and laughter. It also looks amazing for any movie, let alone a goofy superhero comedy. Highly recommended.

The only real connection is DC and Robbie. It's totally its own thing. It gets you to care about a character called "Polka-Dot Man".

The Vic has done me right again.
One minor issue; John Cena's getup was distractingly absurd and comical and potty. Although surely his triceps should be up for the Oscar. Best Supporting Triceps in a Major Motion Picture..Tl/dr its the triceps that were the real winner here. 2/3rds of the upper arm are tricep and Cena knows that. Fuck the guns it's the tricep that is the munter.
Also surely up for Best Forearm Development at Le Cannes Film Festivale
Usually with films if it starts to drag for a few minutes or, like a mental little starling, my attention starts to waver, I'll just shut the thing off. But there was always something going on for this entire film and I didnt even think about shutting it off once
This was wildly entertaining. Just absurdly good. Bonkers gorey. Most mentally entertaining actionne filme I''ve seen since Tropic Thunder.

There really is barely a second without something to keep you entertained. My girlfriend and I were laughing for the entire film.

User: Beta will crack a stiffy at that Jim Carroll song at the start. Nice use of the Pixies song too. Loved how they did mental psychedelic shit like have those flowers fluttering around instead of blood. And the scene with the {Spoiler}
rats chewing the starfishs eye nerves as Quinn floated in fluid was way more gorgeous than it had any right to be Also radio rental how they {Spoiler}
bumped off the whole "main cast" on the beach right at the start of the film ffs haha |
