ep 4 now FFS so mental. Really inventive original idea though. Easy enough workaround to being {Spoiler}trapped; just dont go in to work again! Ever! The main dude can feel something is off when he's not at work and the company is really fucked up and it ruined the life of his best workpal so ffs dude, just dont go in there! Find another job! Problem solved.
Guessing now the "work" is all fake and its some huge Truman Show social experiment.
Also they lose their memories but what about emotions? If they're suicidally frantic when they clock off and get in the elevator surely they'll still be suicidally frantic when they get out of the elevator, they'll just have forgotten why they're in such a state?

Forgot about this ~ Love Adam Scott and other great cast. Lost, which I wish to strangle if twere a human being, launched all kinds of "what's really going on" shows, so this has a lot to be compared with, I imagine. Of course, the Lost dweebs just dove in and made up shit on the fly, but I imagine this is a limited series (with B Stiller directing) with a definite conclusion... Only on episode 2, so glad to hear it's inventive...

I guess anything and everything about this show is an effin spoiler. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait for the second season. I actually yelled "ahhhhhhhhh ahhhh ahhh ahhh" at one point.

There is an almost daunting amount you could unpack from this if you went deep rabbit hole with the accompanying podcasts for it etc. Especially about the {Spoiler}
main dudes "dead" wife. They've never showed her as an outie. Is she kept in a Lumin dungeon overnight or something? Or rides an elevator up to a top floor penthouse in the same building so her memory becomes that of an outie? Maybe they were saving those scenes for S2. In which case, that is a hell of a long game to play.
Relieved main dude got to see the photo of her right at the end. I almost dont want to try to "unravel" too much of it though; just let the deciduous mystique of it wash over me with its cryptic inertia. |

She says she was only brought in for 30 minutes at a time and loved that whole day she was able to have observing their workplace. There is obviously something about women and birthing children and she is probably involved in that but, yeah, I am just gonna let it wash over me and see what happens next season. The clues seem too sparse to really know what the whole Lumin deal is...All that stuff dropped in the finale is just too much to process really... |
