Curious what they do with the kids. They were 12-year olds in 2016 which means by now they'll be 18 or so. Not so keen on playing D&D in the basement and tooling around the hood on their BMX's... more like sleeping till noon then jacking off all afternoon. Plus will the 80's be over? Will it be the 90's and flannel and grunge?

Back on now, will give it a burl but extremely skeptical. They basically had that one wonderful, whimsical idea that took off worldwide so thought they'd insult our intelligence by repeating the exact same idea again and again and hope we would enjoy it anyway.

I couldn't agree more. Season one was perfect, but it's just diminishing returns after that. Amybeth McNulty, from the great Anne With an E, is in the new season but I still can't muster any enthusiasm to watch it.

gave ep 1 a crack and thought it was {Spoiler} actually fantastically entertaining. Surpringly gory too. Really meticulously put together and planned. The kids still look like kids. 1986, got it bang on right with that Kate Bush song

ep 2 they're doing a {Spoiler} fine long job of giving the high school bullies a nice long rope with which to hang themselves once 11 suddenly gets her powers back and goes full on Carrie at the prom with buckets of pig blood all over the show.
Slightly bummed that the baddie is going to be a Dungeons and Dragons character ffs. Still, I suppose it is a kids show.

Didn't need the albums, though, as everybody I hung out with was getting high and playing Grunge Grunge Grunge 24 hours a day. Fuck me fuck me fuck me. I miss something new happening. I get how MC was digging his own grave long before I even got the joke--He's not fucken joking. I cant even find my own pecker now. Getting old is getting old fast.

Watched the third season and it's definitely the weakest of the lot so far. It's still fun, but not quite up to the others. I really just enjoy the aesthetic of the show, I think.

I'm not going to learn how to do that spoiler thing so WATCH OUT!!!!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!!!!! I forget which ep I think 4 -- there was a definite sense of fun to this and in my opinion some really clever production work -- having this whole thing that is shameless 80's horror worship and then kind of hinting around it and referring to a "waking nightmare," etc, then then you finally get a good look and several close-ups of the evil monster and credits roll and the first one is Robert Englund and you're like -- of course. The monster totally looks like Freddie and you got the guy who played Freddie who is famous but not really recognizable as an actor because his main role was in such heavy make-up -- you got me, that was super clever and fun.
All that to say I canceled Netflix a few months ago and wouldn't have signed back up but Camp Leader had other ideas. I mean the show is okay but as long as I'm being subjected to it, hey, there were fun moments. My Netflix budget decisions are indefensible. $15 mo -- no way!!! $80 bar tab in an evening -- sure, makes sense. Oh. Remember how Freddie called everyone a bitch? Like he'd do some pun about how they were going to die and then tag "bitch" on the end. I don't think it would fit the show or times for this to be revisited but damn I would shit my pants with glee if we got like a grandfather clock flying into the air with the dead kid and he could be like "Time's up, BITCH."

The post-spoiler part doesn't really make sense without the spoiler so sorry. Post ep 4 you're good to go on the above post.

Yeah I'm labouring too. Had about 3 cracks to get through episode 4 and still not done. Its just not grabbing me. I think I might be too old. They're really {Spoiler} dragging out Hoppers escape in this motherfucker too

Well, I've watched all the episodes that are out and I kind of like what they've done in terms of resurrecting '80s style teen-friendly horror a la Elm Street. I really like the look of the show, too. The origin story of Eleven is quite well done and I'd like to see that finish. I don't think they should make another season unless they do a completely new kid cast and make it about aliens or something. I will say that about an episode or two's worth of padding could have been cut out.

I haven't seen the new season although I'm annoyed that they split it up into two parts. I do love the show however.

I tuned in and out. Camp Leader burned a few without me. I don't think this is much of a spoiler, but the last one is nearly 2.5 hrs. So, a movie.
I was bored and it was on, so I watched most of it.
{Everyone Dies} I got a good laugh when metal dude had to do a killer shred of Master of Puppets as part of the plot. And they were very wise to fade in the actual song vs just guitar. And the climatic countdown to when he had to stop as when the guitar solo shredding was happening was brilliant. I think it was intended to be funny? I LOLed!
And hey, I used the spoiler thing!

I just find the show has a really cosy atmosphere, even when it's in a psychedelic hellscape. Latest finale was pretty entertaining. I suppose the next season will be the last.

Skipped about 3 episodes and went straight to finale.
Seguing all the dispersed kids stories together simultaneously was meticulously and painstakingly well done. That said I was pretty much bored shitless. I'm too old for this. Fast forwarded past lots of the emotional bollox.
