Very funny but excruciating. If you appreciate the tooth-pulling comic quality of Gervais' character, and want to see him dissected at torturous length, this is the picture for you. If there's a criticism, it's that there's an attempt to mirror the character's arc over the course of The Office that feels a little contrived, but it's also so wretched watching Brent pile failure upon failure that a little sweetening of the pill is excusable.
