Ha, that's weird, why the hell have I never heard of it. There were only 2 bloody telly channels and nothing else to do but either watch telly or run around outside like a drongo.

Oh shit. I remember now. WILBERFORCE. Fuck me. Forgot all about the kids but the name "Wilberforce" has been secreted away in the depths of my tiny skull for 40 years now. FAHHHHHHHHK Hahaha, we were so terrified of this show. I rewatched it a little while ago and although it's not really scary as an adult, I'm still impressed by the use of effective horror elements that tap into kids' fears - tunnels, the scary house down the road, etc. There's a movie version from a few years ago with Sam Neill that isn't too bad. The eathquakes have some of the most nutty bass that I've encountered so far in my movie collection.
