Nice old-fashioned, kind of corny horror movie that feels like a Stephen King story - because it's written by his son. The kind of film kids will sneak a viewing of and remember as adults.

{Spoiler} Finney, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer's previous victims. OH HELL NO. I don't think so, Ladyfingers.

It's not very scary, really. Just kind of fun and satisfying.

They just do not bother making enough effort with the posters these days. Spend millions on the film and about 10 minutes on the fahhking poster.
